The 2025 High School Summer Internship Competition is OPEN

Internship Description

Thank you for your interest in applying to the 2025 Blueprints for Pangaea High School Internship!

The internship will give three high school students the opportunity to participate in an intensive project-based experience, fulfilling the tasks that our analysts typically perform during the summer. Interns will work alongside our analysts and leadership to help move the organization forward. Some previous projects our interns have worked on include establishing partnerships and completing shipments with local clinics, implementing a new and efficient inventorying process for our warehouse, devising new fundraising strategies, creating media content, and conducting outreach to other high schools.

In addition, interns will be guided and supported through a community-based project of their own design. On the last day of the internship, interns will present their work to Blueprints leadership as well as take part in a college and career panel.

The internship dates are June 9, 2025 to August 4, 2025 and can be conducted in a hybrid or virtual format. The internship is part-time, and interns can expect to work 10-15 hours per week.

The three winners of the summer internship competition will be selected to be the 2025 Summer Intern Class at the Blueprints for Pangaea Headquarters located at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. The internship will be conducted primarily virtual with some in-person opportunities. Blueprints For Pangaea is a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that reallocates excess, unused medical supplies from U.S. hospitals to areas in need overseas. Our mission is to minimize supply chain inefficiencies and mobilize accessible healthcare in emerging communities.

To date, we have reallocated over $6.8 million dollars of unused medical supplies to communities in need. From Ukraine to Syria, we have donated to 15+ countries worldwide.  In the past, we have partnered with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), the cabinet of the Prime Minister of Niger, Project C.U.R.E. and countless others. Our organization has been featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, Barron’s, and many other accredited publications. We have 10 national chapters: The University of Michigan (headquarters), Michigan State University, Ohio State University, Wayne State University, University of Southern California, Rutgers University, Washington University, University of Miami Medical School, Santa Clara University, and New York University.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about global health and aspire to evoke positive worldly change.

As a part-time Intern at the headquarters of Blueprints for Pangaea, located at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor will have the opportunity to spend 10-15 hours per week during the summer immersing themselves in the organization, as well as networking and mentorship opportunities.
