SYRIA

During the last decade, Syria has been facing extreme political tension due to a civil war and a changing regime. This resulted in much of their infrastructure, including their healthcare systems, being destroyed.

OUR WORK

Blueprints for Pangaea hoped to reduce some of the healthcare inequity that civilians face as well as provide a level of consistency to their procurement systems by organizing shipment of medical supplies to Syria.

Through our partnership with the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS), Blueprints for Pangaea was able to help on field personnel deliver medical supplies while reducing the financial burden for all parties involved.

With the help of the Damascus Hospital and other health systems, Blueprints was able to ship face shields, sterile and non sterile gloves, surgical supplies, PPE, and hygienic goods to Syria in June 2024. Through multiple shipments to Syria since June 2024, Blueprints for Pangaea has learned to solve challenges pertaining to sourcing specific medical supplies and storage constraints through active communication with stakeholders.

So far, $250,000 worth of medical supplies have been shipped to Syria and Blueprint for Pangaea’s ongoing partnership with SAMS is one that we are extremely grateful for.
